A 40 year old Antwerp (Belgium) youngster, that started his musical path in obscure punkbands like Skunk and Scoundrels. His first appearance on a stage was with ‘The Jump’ at the age of twelve.
Later on, he was found behind the drums in bands such as Sons Of Sinatra (together with Aldo Struyf from Millionaire and Creature With The Atom Brain) Scale Sheer Surface (who shared the stage with No Means No, Victims Family and other hardcore heroes) The Dutch sixties popband Ford’s Imaginary Inferno and some more......
The last few years and up till now, he was drummer for Traktor, Daau, One Louder, Confituur All Stars, Kapitein Winokio, Riefenstahl (where he teams up with former dEUS guitarist Craig Ward) and some impro-acts with different Antwerp musicians.
A dj he’s been almost all his life, from the time he got his first 7 inch singles from The Sweet, James Brown, Sly And The Family Stone, Black Sabbath etc....he started playing them for people. Things got out of hand real quick....started spinning parties at local pubs and youthcenters at the age of sixteen.
To this day he still loves spinning parties. This attitude led him to stages and deejay-booths across the globe and shared the stage, the bill and/or booth with names like: Daau (naturally), Daan, Pitchtuner, Red Zebra, Admiral Freebee, Think Of One, The Hub, Eavesdropper, El Guapo Stuntteam, Sickboy, Tom Barman, Arno, Mauro Pawlowski, Kim Wilde, Laïs, Stijn, Snof, Felix Kubin, Raphael, Stephanie, Moodlex, Nailpin, Creature With The Atombrain, Blackbox Revelation, La Kinky Beat etc......
As Butsenzeller he started experimenting with tapeloops, samples and electronics eight or nine years ago. Made a tape (Beepshow 01) some selfreleased cd’s (Beepshow 05, Organic Organisations and Deviant Disco) and several contributions to Compilations like: Radioworm (NL), Rotkop (B), Gonzo Circus’ Mind The Gap (B/NL), Spacemen Don’t Live On Mars (UK). Remixed some befriended bands or his own, and made a soundtrack for a children’s puppettheatre play called “Goesting”.
The dj-sets started turning into weird performances, because of mixing his own tunes with partysmashers and selfmade mash-ups while dressing up as a robot and singing/shouting along.
Finally, the good open minded people of Wharfrecords showed real interest in his eclectic vision towards music. So he started working on ‘Natt’ immediately, called a friend if he felt the song needed an extra he couldn’t provide himself. So you’re hopefully listening to the result right now !!!!!
